My students will be completing this parent letter on the first day of school, at the end of the day. Then, when they go home and give it to their parents, this letter will be a great conversation starter. It will get them talking about their first day, because all parents are dying to hear about the first day of school!! This letter will also prevent my students from telling their parents that "nothing" happened that day. {Why do children have the tendency to say that nothing happened, when really SO MUCH happened???} Kids... gotta love 'em!
This freebie came right out of my Back to School Activities Pack. Click {here} to check it out.

What a great idea, thanks for the freebie! We are back on contract on the 24th and students start the 28th. I've never understood why my district has students start on a Tuesday or Wednesday - weird!
