Tomorrow is the first day of testing for my little kiddos. Since the rest of you are either testing already or getting ready to test, I thought I would share a few things...
1. I made some "Smart Cookies" to remind my students how SMART they are!
2. Doesn't everyone need a SHHHH... sign? It helps keep unwanted visitors out during testing time.
3. And last but not least, I sent this note home with my kids today. {I hope they are all in bed by now!}
How do you prepare for end-of-level testing in your classroom?

My class is halfway through testing. It is stressful! Thanks for these great freebies!

Teaching With Style
You cookies look delicious! I send letters home to parents asking them to write some words of encouragement to their child.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea! I'm teaching preschool right now, so I'm just "seeing how smart they are" these last few weeks of school...but I'm definitely going to keep this in mind for next year when I'm (hopefully) teaching grade school!
ReplyDeleteI love the Smart Cookie idea! Even though we are done with testing, I will make those for my students as just a fun treat! Thanks for sharing!

Just downloaded, thanks! We start testing next week. I also plan on giving my kids some smarties with a cute little printable that says "good luck smartie pants... not that you need it!" I have an example on my blog if you'd like to see it!

These look awesome. I teach Kindergarten, so right now I don't have to do this...keeping my fingers crossed that it stays that way. I went ahead and snatched your freebies just in case!!

Peace, Love, and First Grade
Great ideas . . . as always! I thought I read somewhere that you are going to first next year, but now I can't find it. Am I dreaming? If I am, don't pinch me. My fingers are secretly and oh-so selfishly crossed. I teach first and I would LOVE more ideas from my favorite blogger :) Happy Friday.

We have already completed testing but I will save these things for next year. Thank you for sharing. I am curious, what kind of testing do you use with your kids. We use MAP testing. I would be curious to know what others use.
