The end-of-the-year is near {5 days}, but you wouldn't know it in my classroom! My students are keeping busy with their autobiographies, book goals, and all of our end-of-the-year activities.
We are finally finishing up our autobiographies and they are DARLING!
My students are so proud of them and they get to take them home after our ukulele program on Tuesday.
I have a few students who are finished, but they still want to look through their autobiographies everyday {very slowly}, because they are so pleased with the finished product. Too cute!

I also gave my students Candy Awards made by Reagan Tunstall. Since I have a circus them in my classroom, my mom dressed up as a clown and passed them out for me. My students were all giggles, because of the silly clown, and they loved getting an award! This was a perfect end-of-the-year activity!!
The awards were sitting in this box all day just taunting my students!
They were dying to know what was in the box and they weren't disappointed with the result!

Those autobiographies are priceless. I can't wait to do it next year. About how long would you say it took to complete? Was it a year long project?

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the biographies! I have 5 weeks...and to be honest I am trying to survive all the paperwork. I usually have a week of daily celebrations my last week of school.

OMG. Your are such a life saver. We've been reading biographies in our reading curriculum. I told my students we were going to spend the end of the year writing biographies and autobiographies (our reading series ends tomorrow). I was planning on trying to create something this weekend, but I'm totally just buying your TpT unit now. Yay for a stress free and relaxing weekend now. THANKS!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat great ideas you have! I had students write bio Poems which I then compiled and turned into a class book. They will treasure their books as well as your students treasuring their autobiographies.

Great ideas! Aren't moms seriously the best?!?! A couple years ago my mom came to school dressed up as Zero The Heroes Wife. She was a hit! I love the idea of putting the awards in a wrapped box to build the suspense. Brilliant as always!

I can't believe you got those awesome biographies done in a week! I love surprises for the kids too, it is so fun to watch them speculate over what is in a box. I love the summer book goals too! I would be curious to see how many exceed them!
