you make my ♥ GLOW! {v-day freebie}

I know that it isn't even February yet, but I am in the mood to skip January.
Here in Utah it is too blah, too cold, and too depressing.

So naturally, I am already thinking about Valentine's Day.
My husband and I don't really do much, but I love celebrating V-Day with my students.
February is a great time to develop friendship skills and build unity in my classroom.

Last year I gave my students glow sticks on Valentine's Day and they loved it.
{And I loved it, because glow sticks don't contain any sugar & they were from the dollar store... BONUS!}

If you want to send this Valentine home with your students this year, click the image below to download!
{To make the Valentines, just print onto white card stock, cut out, and tape onto a glow stick. Easy.}

My Valentine's Day Packet is COMING SOON!
Look for it in my TpT and TN stores next week!

Here is a little sneak peek of the monster sacks we will be making for V-Day {included in the unit}:

My V-Day packet will include the templates to make this cute love monster. Your students will
get to choose from 3 different heads, 2 eyes, 4 different mouths, and lots of heart accents.
 I can't wait to see what kind of love monsters my students come up with!

This unit will also include math, writing, and fun games for your V-Day celebration/party.

thank you so much! found your post on pinterest and my preschooler is in LOVE with glow sticks so this is the perfect non-treat valentine for her to give to her friends.

for anyone else looking, check your target dollar spot for tubes of 15 sticks for $1. i buy five packages at a time as my girls get one each night at bedtime. :)

Hi! I love your glow stick idea and want to use it for my classroom. I teach in a "team taught" room though and it really will need to be from BOTH of us. You wouldn't possibly be able to edit this "freebie" to say "You make our hearts GLOW!" would you? You may not have time to do this but it would keep us from reinventing the wheel. We want to be grammatically correct. Our 1st graders will love the glow sticks! Thanks for the awesome idea!

Thanks,
Melanie

Last night I showed my 4 year old daughter a number of Valentine ideas I've pinned on Pinterest and as soon as she saw your Glow Stick Valentines, she immediately abandoned all thoughts of candy Valentines and wanted to do these!

I found packages of 15 glow stick bracelets at Michael's craft store today for $1 and printed out your adorable Valentines.

Thank you so much for sharing! I'm sure these will be a hit with her entire daycare class!
