You know that cute lady, Cara, from The First Grade Parade?
(Ahh, who am I kiddin'!? Of course you do!!!)
Well... she recently posted about a super cute writing poster called, "What Do Writers Write?"
After seeing it on her blog (and all over Pinterest) I immediately made one for my class.
With Cara's permission, I am also offering it to you as a free download!

UPDATE:
A smaller version (in color and B&W) is now available in this document!
I had my students put them in their writing workbooks. I hope you can use them! ENjOY!
Thanks for being so creative, Cara!!!
How do you teach the importance of writing in your classroom?

Thank you so much! I'm soooo not talented enough to make these kinds of posters. But I loved her pencil. Thanks ladies for making for the drawing-challenged!

ReplyDeleteBoth of you guys are the greatet! I can't explain how much paper I wasted trying to draw that pencil. Well, the pencil the rollercoaster on "What writers write about" and that dang on scienctist from Cara's other anchor chart! Oh and I tried to draw David too!! That ended with me cutting him out of a very OLD book that was taped together. Anyway I've said all of this to say THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH for the ideas and for keeping me on my toes!

Do you think you might create one for What do Readers Read like the one The First Grade Parade?
ReplyDeleteHi! I LOVE the pencil! So cute and great ideas. I am wondering if you could make one that says what writers write about and/or why writers write? I have the large pencil hanging by my Daily 5 anchor charts and I would love to add the others, but I do not have the cool pencil outline. :) Thanks!
