I love running into my students outside of school!
(Even though it is usually at Walmart when I am in my PJs.)

  2. So true and so cute!! I ran into one of mine at the grocery store the other day and she looked like she had seen a ghost! Teachers go out in the summer time?? Was her exact quote! :)

  3. This is so funny!! My kindergarten kids were the cutest about this. They would be very shy and not talk at all when they see and then at school tell the other kids "I saw her this weekend. I still think she lives at school though." Lol! They thought I actually lived in my classroom!

  4. This is TOO cute. My kids will shout at me from across the store. I hear, "Hi, Mrs. Davis" a lot...did I mention they will shout? ;)

    BTW, I LOVE your Beauty is the opposite of the Beast...FABULOUS. Disney and the Disney Characters are like one of my favorite things!

  5. That is a great cartoon and so true. I ran into one of my students at Target one day and he asked me, "You work here too?" He was shocked that I could leave the school building.

  6. There is a children's book that is always funny to read called something like "My Teacher Sleeps At School!" I love seeing the look on their faces when I do see a student out in public!

  8. This made me giggle! I teach in a pretty small town, but I live in the adjacent bigger city. I usually don't see my students outside of school unless I run into the Dollar Store near my school real quick after work. Then, I see EVERYONE - teachers, parents, and kids! Haha!

  9. I love this!!! I live in the town I teach in but, I try and shop in the next town over. I rarely run into kids. One year, I am on vacation on a cruise ship wearing a bikini by the pool bar. I turn and see a student with his mouth gaping. He looked like he was about to die seeing his teacher outside of school, outside the state, and in a bikini!

  10. I live in a small town and see my students EVERY time I leave my home... I also happen to be friends with a lot of their mothers so there isn't much of that here. They are fascinated that I am "allowed"to have a husband though :)
